Come one come all to the wondrous classroom of one Professor Horace Slughorn. I am the potions master of Hogwarts as well as the Head of Slytherin House. I'm a gemini and I adore strolls along the beach with a glass of delectable chardonay. I can usually be found in the dungeons brewing some extremely difficult conction, or possibly in the Great Hall tasting the delicious work of the house elves. I am an avid collector of practically anything. Do not mistake my laid back nature for one who can be walked upon like a doormat. I expect all my pupils to show me the same respect that I show them. I do hope I am able to uphold the dignity of the ancient most honorable house of Salazar Slytherin! Prepare you ingredients and cauldrons for a tough year of potion making.

Madam Pomfrey says that she will allow me to have visitors later this week, as the contagious stage has almost past. Until then, I will have to endure the almost painful solitary confinement of the hospital wing.
You had better all come and see me when you are allowed, I am on the borderline of going insane as a cause of boredom.
I never heard what exactly you came down with, Narcissa. Was it serious? Dragon-pox relapse?
I somehow contracted a variation of dragon pox, it took Professor Slughorn and Madam Pomfrey a few weeks to create a treatment, it has only just started to ease off.
Lucky for you they came to me, seriously overrated those healers, I shudder to think how you might have fared without my assistance. I whipped up another potion that should leave you in tip top shape in no time!

Francis has been quite uppity recently, and today he is downright disagrreable. I guess he misses Lily’s visits as much as I do. Poor fish. Perhaps I should sprinkle a bit more food into his bowl. A full belly always perks me right up!

Walks out of his office, waddling towards the Great Hall it was time for a small snack. He saw Filch rush by probably heading to McGonagall’s office. Horace was so happy he was rarely bothered by student’s problems. No disciplinary issues to deal with ever! All he had to worry about is the occasional brunch with one of his Slytherins or Miss Evans. To be honest he usually got off pretty easily, but he could never let others in on this secret. He had too many catalogs to browse through to take on any other mundane tasks. Now onto his snack…
